Jennie Lopez

Jennie became licensed in ZUMBA in 2007, and she loves sharing her Latin roots and passion for dancing. Jennie is trained in ballet, jazz and modern dance and has been a dance instructor for students of all ages.  Jennie also loves working out and has been an aerobics instructor since 2000 teaching classes such as step, hi/lo, boot camp, and kickboxing.  In addition to NETA & TurboKick certifications she found the perfect blend of enjoying dancing while getting a great workout in ZUMBA.

Jennie, originally from Puerto Rico, started dancing but in the water! After several years of synchronized swimming she took her passion for music to the dance floor. As a dancer she performed for several years on a daily TV show, as back-up dancer for several Latin artists such as Ednita Nazario and Julio Iglesias, and as a dancer for the PR National Basketball team.   She moved to the United States in 2000 to pursue her MS in Chemical Engineering.  While working in the pharmaceutical industry Jennie earned a spot as an NFL Cheerleader on the Indianapolis Colts in 2003. During her 7 years with the NFL Colts she was able to dance and captain the team at home games, an exhibition game in Tokyo in 2004, the Super Bowl in 2006 (yes she has a Super Bowl ring!), and an Entertainment Military Tour in Kosovo in 2007.  Jennie also participated as choreographer for the cheerleading team while also being the lead singer of a cover band in Indianapolis.  Jennie moved with her beautiful family to Kansas in November 2010.  Plant Manager during the day and Zumba instructor any time she can, Jennie is thrilled to join the Amore Dance family.
